Over the years my mom has been refining the art of living pono, which is more of a lifestyle then a simple line of products. So where does one go for this pono lifestyle training? If you have Kupuna; they can help you, but if you don't well... that's maybe where we can help you. The difference between my mom and other sustainable sites, is how she can make living righteously simple and beautiful without compromising our mother earth. Yep this is where green chic meets living pono (righteously). Like my mom says, even God loves beautiful things, just look at nature and all the creativity oozing out of people all around the world.
Our farm is a place where sustainable solutions for living pono will be offered with energetic balance and beauty. Here we will use our farm as a model for green projects; like learning how to plan & build an edible garden no matter how big or small, how to heal your soil, low water irrigating, weed control without chemicals, and bigger projects like water catchment all while making our surrounding stimulating to all our senses. A recipe for sensual living.
Putting together a TV show can be quite costly when you consider the experts, and paying for the necessary materials and personnel for individual projects and of course the production itself. For this reason we have set up our different Green Membership Programs that reward our financial supporters that make our non profit TV show a possibility.
We have two projects that are planned for 2011. First we have (24) one hour weekly episodes called "My Organic Mom on GreenTalksS" which is an introduction to living pono through discussion and solutions. Our second project is called, "120 days to the New You", and is a documentary following the recovery of my Mom and Aunty Clare who were affected by chemical trespass/drift that changed there lives forever in a matter of months.
This documentary will focus on all the modalities they are using to keep them functioning in their daily lives and will document the dramatic changes that can happen using food in a specific food regime for healing and detoxification methods.
BECOME A GREEN PARTNER
There are several ways to participate in helping us bring these shows to fruition.
The first way is as a Food Fan: each month we will be providing a healing menu plan that you can buy ingredients from your local organic grocer to prepare, this will be the same plan featured in the 120 days to the New You" documentary. This plan corresponds with the Seasonal Seed Collections we will offer in our Online Store (E Ola Market Place) so you can grow these foods in your own backyard garden. Also included are the helpful macrobiotic diagnostic tools that will help you monitor and understand your body's changes along with a bonus raffle ticket for every 3 months you are a supporter of our TV show.
Your Food Fan membership dollars will pay for the staff needed to produce the weekly "MY Organic Mom on GreenTalksS" TV show and for the research, test kitchen, and other expenses that goes into producing the monthly menus. This membership is $35 per month. There is a special program for those who pay for 3 months at a time ($100); there will be a $5 discount and a bonus ticket to our *raffle that is for a weeks visit to our farm.
As for our documentary "120 days to the New You", we will offer an auction that will take the two highest bidders on set with us and thru the whole program (please contact us for starting bid amounts). This will include participating in the 10 day detoxification program on
The two winning bidders are invited to fully participate in our documentary (off film) while we are filming the program. This will include meals prepared by our specialty chef that will be hired for this program, any of the days you are with us on set, or participating in the 10 day detoxification program on Maui (travel, room and board are not included in this bid).
We can only accept (2) 120 day participants, as we have to keep our focus on the two people who are being documented. The extra funds we collect over the cost of the production costs will go to paying for your personal program (please contact us for starting bid amount per person. Our program costs are a bargin considering when my mom and auntie went to their programs, some cost as high as $32,000 per "month", not including travel, food or lodging.)
Our purpose for creating the "120 days to the New You" program is to share this invaluable information with people who would otherwise not have the opportunity or fiancial means to ever access this type of healing modalities. To further make it possible for more people to participate in this type of healing program we will make available the 120 day menu plan and the seasonal seed collections that correspond to the menus in our Online store, "E Ola Pono Market Place". Once the 120 day documentary airs and if demand calls for it, we may make the entire menu and meals available by home delivery.

More about our TV show Beginning 2011
The My Organic Mom on Green TalksS TV Series will be a family friendly show targeted at kids from 10+, their busy Mom's and Grandparents who interact in the kids lives regularly. The show centers around hot environmental topics that are affecting most of us today whether we know it or not. For every environmental issue we bring up we will offer green and organic solutions to empower our viewers into personal action.
Over the next year we will cover 6 major topics to include Chemical Drift; What are GMO's and why should I care; & How are chemicals getting into our body and how are they changing us; just to name 3 of the 6.
The first 4 episodes deals with chemical drift and the experiences of My Mom, My Auntie Clare and my Auntie Tia and how it changed their lives forever. For each topic we bring up we will offer solutions and alternatives so we leave our audience empowered. The show will close with MOM and Sofee discussing what mom and aunties were talking about so kids can get clarity and feel empowered to make green and organic choices in their home and to help their children do the same.
For all those following our show they will be able to go onto our production website www.GreenHawaii.TV (sorry not made yet) to download a dinner menu and the associated recipes so that your entire family can eat healthy and if your MOM allows, watch our show while eating your healthy meal. After the show we hope this will open up dialog between children and parents.
Some of our shows will follow the format of Meal, Movie and a Talk.
Each following show will provide a movie on the hot topic of the week- some of the longer movies will be spread over multiple shows. The movie will have breaks where Mom, Auntie Clare and Auntie Tia will discuss different aspects of the movie so that it can be explored in greater detail.
In the end always leaving the viewer with solutions and closing conversation with Mom and Sofee to empower the viewer and move them into action.
